Hello and welcome back for another story snack!
A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section.
The Writing Prompt: Nomad in 68 words
The Inspiration
The prompt immediately made me think of my best friend, who is a gypsy rover and a teacher. She changes jobs every year or two and moved a lot as a child.

“How’d the interview go?” This was only my friend’s third interview from fifty applications.
“I got an offer.”
She didn’t sound thrilled. “What’s the position?”
“Elementary SPED.”
Uh-oh. “Are you taking it? You don’t even like littles.”
“But it’s special ed, and that’s one of my best strengths.”
Ah, the siren song. “Another move, Miss Nomad.”
“I’ve always been a gypsy.”
I have a bad feeling about this.

Dear Ronda,
I would think SPED would be challenge enough but if one didn’t like kids…pity the kids. Nicely done.
