Welcome back to another episode of Low Vision Living! In this week’s episode, I talk about a truly disheartening situation I faced recently.
I’m a mostly blind (aka low vision) non-driver living rural with no buses. During the pandemic, my friend hosted a drive-by birthday party for her husband. Find out what happened when I told her, “I hope you have a great time. I most likely won’t be able to make it.”
Suffice to say that I had to say NO numerous times to her about this party and her subsequent drive-by celebration.
Perhaps I’m a bad friend? I’m certainly being treated that way. I hope nothing like this ever happens to you, but I suppose certain situations reveal the depth of someone’s friendship.
