Thanks for stopping by for another story! I’ve decided to write another story inspired by this week’s Friday Fictioneers photo prompt! This one has NOTHING to do with the big C19!

The Inspiration
One of the spirits I encountered as a psychic medium is a guy who had a love at first sight meeting with a girl in high school. They married and had several children together. Steve, this is YOUR story!
The Story: “The Prettiest Girl”
At the counter, Sarah bit into the giant cheeseburger.
Steve sat beside her. His eyes bugged. She’s the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.
“What’re you looking at?”
Dropping his gaze and shifting on the stool, Steve answered, “Uh…nothin’.” He looked straight into her eyes. “I like a girl who isn’t afraid to eat in front of a boy.”
“Oh.” Sarah nudged her plate toward him. “Want a bite?”
He snatched a long fry. Twisting it around his finger, he asked, “Would you maybe wanna go to the dance Saturday?”
The jukebox played, “Let’s Go to the Hop.”
Sarah smiled. “Sure.”

Dear Ronda,
How sweet is this. Now I’ve got the song going through my head, too. Pass the ketchup.

I had to make a nice, juicy burger in celebration. I played the song and danced around my office. Thank you for reading.
