The Inspiration

This week’s Weekend Writing Prompt on Sammi Scribbles blog immediately made me think about saying, “She sleeps like a baby.” I heard this last week about an infant who slept GREAT the first couple nights, then reverted to the usual that we expect of infants. And that inspired my contribution to the challenge.

The Story: To Sleep Like a Baby

Word count: 78

So, you think it would be great to sleep like a baby.

Really?

Although results may vary, most babies wake up crying, screaming, wet, and/or hungry.

Sound good?

Most sleep for short bursts then are wide awake. I often end up do that. It does NOT make for a good night’s sleep.

If you’re a somnambulist, I guess the good news is that you might do a little better sleeping like an infant, because you couldn’t walk yet!
