Epic Homonyms | Weekend Writing Prompt: “Epoch”

The first thing that leapt to mind when I saw the weekend writing prompt, “epoch,” was the podcast A Way with Words. If you’re a word nerd, you’ll LOVE this show!

I hope you enjoy this very short piece for Sammi Scribbles Weekend Writing Prompt on her blog. It’s a fun way to stretch your writing muscles. This week’s challenge is to incorporate “epoch” into a 27-word piece.

Here’s mine:

Epic Homonyms

While sounding nearly alike,

Epic and epoch are not the same.

You might have an EPIC day or event,

But the epoch measures notable time and history
