This episode is about how the law distinguishes the various types of assistance dogs.
Service Dogs assist a person with a disability in at least 1 function, such as guiding, hearing, balance, retrieving, or pulling a wheelchair. They have access everywhere except in sterile environments, such as operating theaters, clean rooms, and restaurant kitchens.
Therapy/Comfort Dogs provide comfort in arenas sch as hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. They do not enjoy the full access of service dogs.
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) only have access inside of residences, such as apartments, even where no pets are allowed. They can’t go into stores or other public places that do not allow dogs.
Here is the link to information about the law.
Cheers to your B.L.I.S.S.-FULL Life!!
